| Green Thumb Farms President, Don Thibodeau heard from his father, Larry Thibodeau, stories about how local farmers and their friends made potato vodka during prohibition. While traveling to Aroostook County to see his failing Dad, he and his brother Lee talked about trying their hand at making super premium vodka with Green Thumb Farms' potatoes. As luck would have it, there were several trips made to their hometown of Presque Isle, and during that time a lot of brainstorming took place on those trips.In 2006 their idea became a reality and Cold River vodka was launched on November 3rd.
